Welcome back to another great year at WMS. We're already in full swing here and excited about all the things the rest of the year will hold. I encourage you to stop by and see me as often as you are able. We have lots of great books just waiting for you.

Tomorrow, Friday, August 16, beginning with our sixth graders, ELA classes will begin regularly visiting the library (once every two weeks or so). During this first visit they will receive a library information sheet which has our rules and procedures for checking out books, etc. Parents, please take a moment to look over this should you see it.

Now, allow me to announce our student workers for the year...8th Graders Anna Creasy and Macy Park and 7th graders Tayleigha Graham and Haleigh Webb.

Finally, if any of you participated in our Summer Reading Bingo please return those to the library for your prize. And keep in mind, those who participated will also be invited to our movie party at the end of the year.

2nd Nine Weeks Reading Rocks Winners Announced

Congratulations to our winners of the Reading Rocks reading incentive program for the 2nd nine weeks! Each of these students received a $15 gift card to Barnes and Noble Booksellers. They are:

Emmitt Adcock 8th grade
(seated)

Ally Gomez 7th grade and Clyde Vinson 6th grade
(L-R)

Students earn an entry into the drawing for each book they read independently during the nine weeks.  So, the more books that are read, the more their name is entered into the drawing.
