"The Good is Close at Hand"

The following is a quote my favorite children’s author Kate DiCamillo shared on her Facebook page one year ago today. She said reading it was a balm to her spirit.

A year ago we were charting new waters at school with virtual and hybrid learning due to the pandemic and, while things are somewhat more normal this year, I still look forward to truly calm seas. I hope you enjoy the following quote as much as Kate and I do.
“All these squalls to which we have been subjected are signs that the weather will soon improve and things will go well for us, because it is not possible for the bad or the good to endure forever; from this it follows that since the bad has lasted for so long a time, the good is close at hand.” —- Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote.
