It's Almost Time for Some Giveways

Don't forget...for each assignment or activity posted to the library Google class you complete, your name gets entered into a drawing for prizes.  You have until Sunday, October 10 to complete things in order to be eligible for the first giveaway.  Prizes for the first nine weeks will be given out the day we return from fall break.

Some lucky 8th grader will win these prizes.  NOT PICTURED is a WHS All Access Event Card, which will allow a person free entry to any game or event held at WHS.  

Similar prizes to be given in 7th and 6th grades.

For Fans of Kwame Alexander

Our eighth-graders have been reading the Newbery-winning book The Crossover by Kwame Alexander during this first nine weeks.  A wonderful novel in verse, it has been well-liked by most everyone.  For anyone wanting to read more fictional works by Alexander, be sure to check out Rebound (the prequel to The Crossover) and Booked.  Finally, be sure to take a look below at two of the newest books we have in our collection which are also by him.
